Wooden Playground Project – Drenas, Kosovo
This project was developed for an outdoor family and hospitality setting in Drenas, Kosovo. The brief was to create a natural wooden playground that could serve different age groups while offering several types of play in one coherent area.
Project requirements
- Target age range: approximately 2–14 years
- Expected simultaneous use: approximately 20–30 children
- Outdoor installation for a family / hospitality setting
- Combination of active play, imaginative play and movement-based activities
Playground solution
The playground package combines a main wooden play structure, a wooden playhouse, two swing units, two seesaws and a zipline. The layout was planned as a complete outdoor play environment rather than as isolated pieces of equipment.
Production and installation
Elysee prepared the project, manufactured the wooden playground equipment and coordinated transport and on-site assembly. The system uses outdoor-grade timber, protected metal connections, reinforced ropes and components selected for permanent exterior use. Playground planning is carried out with EN 1176 safety principles in mind, including appropriate circulation and safety zones around the equipment.

Using the Drenas example for a new project brief
The combination of a main structure, playhouse, swings, seesaws and zipline creates several separate activities to consider in a new layout. For another venue, identify the intended age groups and mark access routes, seating and activity areas on a measured plan. The Drenas brief does not establish the capacity or required safety area of any individual model.
For a new family venue in Kosovo, use our family hospitality playground planning guide to prepare the enquiry. Include photographs of the ground, the entrance used for delivery and the target opening date. Ask for a proposal that separates equipment, transport, assembly and ground preparation so responsibilities can be agreed before ordering.

For project planning, the most useful starting information is the available area in square metres, the number and age range of children and the type of venue. Photos, sketches or DWG plans can also be shared with Elysee by WhatsApp for a project-specific proposal.
